Pretty tasteless to post stuff about war games on 9/11, don't you think?

No. It was ten years ago. Stuff like that happens all the time; certainly not to the scale and certainly not with the same aftermath, but the world isn't going to stop just because some people died ten years ago.

If you can't take one day out of 365 to be respectful of it, then what DO you respect?

Life doesn't stop just because people die. Thousands (literally thousands) of people die every day. Just because these people were killed in a horrific way doesn't mean the rest of the world stops for them once a year, in the same way you don't stop for a Sudanese village that was once massacred, and you're not going to stop once a year for the Haiti earthquakes or Japanese floods.

If you wish to respect them in a way greater than you respect others then by all means do so, that's your right, but to judge other people for not doing the same and carrying on with their lives just makes you a sanctimonious jerk.

back to the topic on hand, this sounds like a totally stupid idea. map making on anything but a PC is complete crap, with the possible exception of Halo's Forge, but even then you can only do so much, you cant change the actual map itself.

i used to make maps in Future Perfect and the map creator was decent, if you like indoor maps and a bunch of conjoined rooms which got boring fast. there were good aspects like enemy AI and setting up buttons that do certain things, but i dont think it was anything to write home about.

    Far Cry did it.

    /south park reference.

On the 9/11 thing, it was ten years ago. Not especially trying to sound harsh, it was a terrible loss and I personally hope any and all bastards who knowingly contributed to it rot in the most dark and painful corner of hell.

But it was ten years ago, don't expect people to do what they normally do to stop. Expect them to honourably pause during the day and reflect upon the tragedy, but don't expect them to do much more.
