Producers and Developers, Electronic Arts and Criterion Studios have released a brand new trailer of their upcoming title, Burnout Paradise. This 6 Minute Trailer that they have offered us shows the "Open World Environment" in more detail and also offers multiple crashes and carnage that only Burnout games offer you.

With a surprising twist EA and Criterion have decided to name their up and coming GTA meets Destruction Derby, Burnout Paradise. It must be paradise because this new game has "an open world environment where you can do anything, anywhere, anytime!" The graphics on the trailer don't look bad, but don't scream next-gen when put up against the likes of Forza 2 and GT:HD.

“We have been working towards Burnout Paradise for quite some time. Next generation consoles have opened up a raft of new gameplay opportunities and the Criterion team has leapt at the chance to innovate and raise the bar to an all-new high,” said Pete Hawley, Executive Producer, Burnout Paradise. “There are going to be some big surprises and a lot of new features but the core of the game is still pure Burnout. Instant accessibility will be reinforced by innovative on-line capabilities which will see Burnout Paradise smash racing conventions.’’

Let's just say that if they can deliver close to what they plan to, then this could be a rebirth for the Burnout franchise is so dearly needed. Everyone needs a little stress release, banging some cars around sounds very fun in an open world.

I watched this video out of boredom and what I was enjoying more was the commentary, the developer dude was pretty *bleep*ing funny.

    I thought so too.

Anyway, I lost interest in Burnout when Revenge came out because it was too samey. But this game just looks.. Damn! I will have to get this.

A new Burnout game! I always liked Burnout for the more realistic way of producing the 'speed feeling'. Keep up the good work CS!

Whoa Paradise is lookin' sexy. I saw that sign, and all I could think was ''Paradise City by Guns n' Roses HAS to be in there somewhere!''
