Nintendo rep discusses SSBB (Luigi to be playable character?)

At the new E For All expo, KiwiBox were lucky enough to get an interview with a Nintendo representative, who divulged some info on the Wii game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
And fortunately for fans, an accidental slip of the tongue seemed to have happened, with the rep revealing that Luigi will be a playable character. Oops!

    Not too big of a surprise. Luigi has been in both the other games. I kind of doubted they'd remove Mario's brother. Now if he'd slipped up and said somebody like 'Master Chief' or 'Goku' was in the game- some gamer's head might have exploded. Heh...

    Okay why would they even think about taking Luigi out without out him Mario will be nothing. in my opinion

    Just having characters like Peach, Yoshi, and Bowser in it kind of gave away that Luigi would be in it still. And Luigi wasn't exactly a clone of Mario in Melee anyway so he wouldn't even be thought of as being removed. I still think that every character from Melee will be in it (with the possible exception of Dr. Mario, Pichu, and Young Link).

    luigi kicked mario's ass up and down the battlefield.

    as long as he's still somehow unaffected by 80% of the gravity, he's cool

      Yeah, he shouldn't be kicked out of the third and maybe final Super Smash bros. Especially with Sonic and Snake in it.

    Not surprising. It was bound to have Luigi in the game anyway.

    I'm curious, who tought Luigi would get the boot? Really? How?

    Althrought, I just hope they make him a unique character. They improved him allot in Melee by making him a semi-clone to Mario. Now its time to make Luigi a non-clone.

    Meh, it's not very suprising. I don't care really.. sure, Luigi is a pain in the ass, but it'll be great to wipe the floor with him again XD!
