There are a fair few Japanese people who buy games simply because their favorite actor/singer/model appeared in the commercial.
The game Bujingai is a fine example of this. It was a pretty average action game, but it sold exceptionally well in Japan just because the main character was modelled off the popular Japanese singer Gackt.
American release date I hope?
Is this game a combination of Dynasty and Dawn of the Dead or something?
Oneechan = Big Brother or something? Or Big Sister? Or little brother/sister?
I get confused by those references, since they sound the same (more or less) to me >_>
Though Oneechan is indeed a rather informal way of saying "big sister" ("Oneesan" is more polite/formal).
Whereas Oniichan is informal for "big brother", and imouto is "little sister".
And this commercial was pointless. Not only were the in-game characters emotionless, so was the bikini model. Being a man, I won't say scantily clad girls in commercials isn't eye-catching...but this was just terrible.
