It's always nice to see a media show portraying video-games in a good light. Okay, so this isn't a news show here... But on Jimmy Kimell, actor Will Arnett talked about Call of Duty 4 and the fun he has playing it.
It's certainly a nice change seeing a popular show portraying games for what they really are - A fun hobby.

For those who aren't interested in reading about things being patched, maybe Will "George 'Gob' Bluth II" Arnett's tale of Call of Duty 4 obsession will keep you entertained. Well? Are you not entertained?!

I watched this when it aired and I thought to myself. You know what, Call of Duty 4 is to this generation as Counter-Strike was to it's generation.

    Also, Arrested Development ftw.

Counter strike was a different generation? I could've sworn one or two people still play CS..

Anyways, Is Conan the tallest talk show host ever? He dwarfs all of his guests (minus that time he had The big show on)

Counter-Strike is not even close to as popular as it used to be. It's heyday has come and gone. Just because a fraction of the people that used to play it still play it doesn't mean it's still this generations.

That's like saying just because tons of people still listen to Led Zeppelin today, Led Zeppelin is this Generations Hard Rock band.

Well you raise a point there, although I wasn't arguing that CS is still the online juggernaut that it once was.. I was pointing out that it just sounds a bit strange to refer to Counter Strike as a game that belonged to another Generation.

Yeah, I liked Arrested Development. It's a shame that the writer didn't want to continue, although I think a movie's on the way?

Good to see games, most notably CoD4, getting this recognition, heh. God, his example...I think we've all been there, haha. Crazy little kids playing this game...for the love of God parents, don't buy those kids a headset.
