Following the announcement of a Macintosh release of Spore, EA and Apple have unveiled Spore for the iPhone platform. A short demonstration of what the final product could look like was shown at yesterday's iPhone Software Roadmap Event in Cupertino, California.

Spore is set to be released this September via the iPhone App Store. Pricing details have yet to be revealed.

This definitely looks like it could be a great port. Hopefully the final release will contain the immense amount of customisation available in the PC and Mac versions.

I think its amazing that they can get a working demo of such a highly anticipated game working so easily through the SDK (I'm not looking forward to Spore but this really REALLY seems to show off the huge potential of the platform).

I get the feeling that tekmosis will soon be going on a pro-Spore campaign with his "formidable looking mandibles".

This demonstration makes me want the game even more. Hope they stay with the '08 release.

Pretty cool how they use the iPhone to sure off it's capabilities.
