Two weeks ago it was announced that Australia will have to wait for R18+ games and an Australian bishop spoke out against R18+ games coming into the country. Sounds like typical media, right?

But here is something you don't see every day - The media supporting mature and violent games. More specifically, R18+ games.
Popular Australian news/breakfast show "Sunrise" recently spoke about why Australia should have an R18+ rating ...

Console owners and online gamers will be thrilled or concerned at the news a new rating system may be headed for Australia...

Heheheh, I'm happy that the people on Sunrise kinda support the R18+ rating (they never said it directly), even if I hate the damn show. Gotta give props to that guy with all the research, it isn't completely blown out of proportion or anything, it's actually decent, though the average gamer being the age of 28 does sound just slightly high, 25 I could understand though. If more of the media follows suit just bringing up the topic in a generally positive light to some degree (and I could see them doing it if they're interested in it), then the bigwigs will probably introduce the rating, which would be great, even if it's hardly used.

They are just feeling left out since the rest of the world's media can blame all the problems on 18+ games and they can't .

To anyone who isn't Australian and hasn't seen sunrise this isn't as big a deal as it would appear, Sunrise has evolved into a gimmicky entertainment show. They had a fight between Danny Green (pro boxer) and some weatherman because they thought It would be funny..

    It wasn't.
