It seems that SEGA's "Sonic Unleashed" will continue to be leaked one way or another, at least, until the game is released. While it does seem a bit odd that we already have a leak after they gave us gameplay footage, this newest leak is the story teaser. According to a previous rumor, the game will involve some sort of werewolf Sonic, and this teaser seemed to have confirmed it. When the ring is tossed up into the air, a transformation occured. No one knows if this is real or not, but it seems very real considering all the past leaks turned out being real.

seems as though Sega's new Sonic game, Sonic Unleashed, will end up being leaked in one form or another until the thing is finally released. Though it does seem silly after seeing gameplay video of it, the newest leak of the game is the story teaser. The story is said to involve some sort of "Were-Sonic" type character, and this teaser seems to confirm that, implying a quick transformation as a ring flies through the air. Is is real? It's likely, as the other leaks did end up being real themselves. Whether this is good news or not is another idea altogether. You decide for yourself whether or not emulating the Lord of the Rings camera work is appropriate to a super-speed hedgehog. You decide whether or not the newest Jekyll/Hyde story device is a good use of the license. As for us, we made our decision, if the gameplay is good, who cares about the story?

I really don't understand why companies bother with "Teaser Trailers" unless it is actually going to be showing something worth while.. this was just pointless though the additional read on the story has got be a bit interested though Sonic games have been a let down recently ¬¬

To generate hype and publicity, I'd guess.

I guess, but a video like that just seems so pointless ._.

To tease... the real question is why would a company try to "tease" us with a game that has about a 90% chance of sucking, based on 3d Sonic's track record?

Haha, yeah. That's what I was thinking.

But I actually have faith in this game. The trailers have looked amazing so far. I'd say this is Sega's last chance to get it right. If they fail this time, Sonic is done.

I don't know how to feel. On the one hand, it's Sonic. I haven't played the new gen games and the only 3D sonic I've played was Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast (which was awesome, but apparently the next gen game sucks). On the other hand, it's Sonic, the game franchise that has become notorious for randomly (and needlessly) introducing more and more characters, each with a worse storyline than the last. That's why this werewolf thing scares me about this game, because the high chances are they'll be really ambitious with the storyline of how Sonic got it, but than they'll execute it terribly. From what I've heard, I should also be hoping they've upped the gameplay and level structure from the last game, but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

Haven't played Sonic since... Well... The Dreamcast. And that was only playing it in a movie store while waiting for my parents to choose something to rent. This seems quite interesting though. May pick it up for the Wii once I get my hands on one.

The is said to contain elements of 2D, which Sonic Rush proved is still good and Sonic and the Secret Rings style which was argued by many to be superior to other non 2D Sonic games. This game clearly has potential.

Apparently you and others missed the sarcasm in that post. However all Sonic games had the potential but didn't make the cut, so im not going to be excited over this til i play it.
