Metal Gear Brilliance - Videos Of My Online Escapade

Quite a few are sick of the (obvious) influx of GTA4 articles that have been coming through recently... well fortunately this isn't one of them. With the Metal Gear Online Beta and US players are having to anxiously wait for it to start, I thought starting with a few videos of the training modes and one of the gameplay modes would be a good way for those waiting to see what the game is like and to start thinking about their strategies.

Just remember, I'm not a big online player, so you can attribute my deaths to that, but I should also have it noted I've only been killed twice more than I have died...

    I'm too good at Metal Gear Online. I shouldn't be allowed to play. This game is freaking awesome.

      Nah I absolutely suck at online games for the first few days that I play them, and with my last online game having been last june, it's not a wonder why I was dieing all over the place.

    I'm on the fence about the beta. The movement feels somewhat restricted. I understand its meant to be a tactical/stealth shooter, but when NOBODY else is playing like that, its hard to stay in your zone. Rainbow 6 is a tactical shooter too, but it feels much more fluid than MGO.

      To be honest, I personally prefer R:FoM's online mode more than this, I honestly feel that I can't do much of anything at times. I mean I'd like to shoot at times WITHOUT pressing the L1 button but that just doesn't seem possible, and when I'm ambushed it becomes quite hard. The bullets also run out far too fast, and I'd like an increase in ammo count for all the guns.... or a better way to refill them than dieing.

        Here's a hint. It's all about your Secondary weapon..... reload primary? nope, tap R2.

          Hmm... I thought about doing that, but once you run out of ammo, and it starts auto loading, can you switch to your secondary weapon quickly?

    What's wrong with AoL? xD Slowing down the vid?

    I'm with iLLmatic on this one, I somewhat prefer R6V2's tactical style (and it's easier to kill enemies). People just need to get used to MGO, it'll take time, no doubt. No one wants to even attempt to hide in the boxes, though. I tried to at the NYCC, but was found out.

        Haha, sorry Manbearpig. I have it too, and I find that it's best to use Internet Explorer for videos.

      Actually, I did hide in a box, and it was EXTREMELY effective. I love the fact that they're dotted all around, you just need to walk over them and then take it's place. It'll mean that your the box and the best thing is that most players don't tend to shoot the boxes

        The ones at NYCC were extra alert, they shot every box they saw, haha. Ah, I need to watch the rest of the videos then. ^^

          Yeh problem is I broke Videos.Neo, none of them are showing up in the CRS queue Hopefully it'll be fixed tommorow so I can add them to my post shortly after

    Headshots are fun to get with Assault rifles, I've been trying to master Sniping and CQC. I don't do bad with CQC, it's just that I wanna grapple them from behind and I usually end up grabbing them and slamming them to the ground instead (CQC Front).

    Just to let you all know I've finally managed to add the actual gameplay video to the source, so be sure to check it and please don't laugh at the fact that I absolutely suck at this game But you can see Team Deathmatch in play
