Woah, I see why Kojima said that the BluRay isn't enough. It looks like MGS4 is gonna be one hell of a revolutionary game. More reasons to envy those with PS3s. Damn, being poor sucks.

This news just makes the game that much more enticing. I've been doing a good job of keeping myself calm before the release, but now that we're almost there, I can't stop thinking about it. This will be my first collector's edition of a game in my 20+ years of gaming, and I really think the whole MGS4 experience will be something to remember for years to come.

I doubt the 'different' endings would be all that different. There are probably a half a dozen or so, distinct scenarios, and each of them would have a bunch of variables to draw from.

Like Killzone 2 (or whatever the game is). Supposed to have 500 'different' endings.

    Still, this is cool

I missed where they said anything about different endings?

And I think you're talking about Fallout 3.

Hm, I imagine that they're talking about different things happening in the backgrounds, motions of guards, etc. etc.. I'm sure that many of the happenings are essentially randomly called within each play, effectively altering character interactions, etc. Therefore, with over hundreds of different things happening in the background throughout the course of the game and the various effects that each have on guards, your path, etc. there is bound to be millions of "different" playthroughs available.

It seems complex, but the basic idea behind it is really rather simple.

You mean the Shadow Moses part? No, that's part of MGS4.
