The DS remake of Final Fantasy IV will soon be hitting American shores. Here is the first-ever American trailer for the game.

(Needless to say, the English version of the game will have English voice-actors) ...

Join Cecil and Rosa as they face Golbez once again.

Even so, it's about time Final Fantasy IV gets the love it deserves. It's one of the most underrated Final Fantasy games out there.

Hell yes it is. This is the first FF game that I played, really liked Kain and Rydia's stories.

Who cares about voice actors? This classic can do without it, imo.

"Join Cecil and Rosa as they face Golbez once again."

Dammit, again?! This is going to be third time...But I do like what they've done with this release and the trailer is stunning.

If you haven't played the game before then I highly recommend it. Otherwise there isn't much of a point besides the upgraded visuals and the added dungeons and what not. Didn't they re-release this game on the GBA a few years back though?

True. There's little point to getting this, I feel, unless it's for the sake of nostalgia. Yeah, they did re-release it for the GBA before, so this is the 3rd release, I believe.

FFIV was a good game, unspoiled by graphics and hyper-feminine men, where story was a bit more important ;P

As an avid Kain (they changed his name to 'Cain' in the new one, I guess) fan, I don't think I can sit through it again, though. Not too fond of Cecil or Rosa.

And that's all I'll really say, as not to spoil anything.

4th release actually. I forgot that they'd re-released it on the PSX along with Chrono Trigger as part of the FFChronicles set.

Tbh I think I'll have to pass on this game. I'm not that big of a fan of the visuals where each character looks like a kid. All the old FFs never followed this anime-esque style and it changes the feel a little bit. Had they given it a full 3D release on a console then it might warrant the purchase.

Yeah, the story was brilliant but I liked the little plot twist towards the end the most.

I love Final Fantasy 1 - Final Fantasy 6. Hell, I love the Final Fantasy series in genearl. FF's 1 - 6 were great games that didn't let love interfere with the main goal, SAVING THE WORLD. Final Fantasy Games as of late feel more like Soap Operas and are filled with Anger Inducing Mini-Games, Unecessasary Side Quests, and Unlikable Annoying Characters. I still can't help but love them, because when I got past all the new, I still saw the Final Fantasy I knew and loved.
