Guitar Hero World Tour has finally been tagged with a price. There are product listings from Gamestop that contain loads of bundles for the game. If you want the complete package which contains the game, a mircophone, a guitar, and drums then it is $189.99, a few dollars less than Rock Band but keep in mind that the prices are not confirmed yet. You might have also seen the ads for Guitar Hero which featured the finalists from American Idol's season finale, David Archuleta and David Cook. QJ has a Youtube video of the ads.
Guitar Hero World Tour was announced earlier this week by Activision. No details on pricing was revealed, but GameStop has already listed the "Guitar Hero World Tour - Band Kit" for various gaming systems. The Band Kit, which likely includes a guitar, drums, mic and game, has been listed for $189.99 by GameStop for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PLAYSTATION 3 bundles. The PS2 release is listed for $179.99.
Also listed on GameStop:
Guitar Hero World Tour - Guitar Kit: $99.99 (PS3, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360)
Guitar Hero World Tour Game: $59.99 (PS3, Xbox 360)
Guitar Hero World Tour Game: $49.99 (PS2, Wii)
No official retail price has been announced by Activision or RedOctane. The release date was also listed as October 27, 2008. At $189.99, the bundle retails $20 more than Harmonix/MTV Games/EA's Rock Band Special Edition Bundle.
